Events for December 21 Through December 27

Note: McCracken County Public Library and Graves County Public Library are both hosting "Food for Fines." From Dec. 20th to Dec. 26th at MCPL or for the whole month of December at GCPL, bring in non-perishable foods cover any outstanding late fees. Food will be donated to Paducah Cooperative Ministry and Needline. Also, your libraries will be closed on Dec. 25th, and may have abbreviated hours during the days before and after Christmas.

Monday, December 21
Market Square Book Club: The Art of Racing in the Rain, Market Square Coffee (118 Market House Square, Paducah), 1 p.m., free.
Join the Market Square Book Club (meets 3rd Monday of every month at 1 p.m.) for a delicious brew and a lively discussion. If you have ever wondered what your dog is thinking, Garth Stein's third novel, The Art of Racing in the Rain, offers an answer. Enzio is a lab terrier mix plucked from a farm outside Seattle to ride shotgun with race car driver Denny Swift as he pursues success on and off the race track.

The Dickens Carolers, McCracken County Public Library (555 Washington St., Paducah), 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., free.
This Victorian-outfitted quartet will be strolling the library and singing Christmas Carols for children of all ages. Bring your family and enjoy a wonderful holiday program!
