Monday, November 2
Book Ends Book Club: To Kill a Mockingbird, Graves County Public Library (601 N. 17th St., Mayfield, KY), 5:30 p.m., free.
The Library has partnered with The Big Read to read To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. New members are invited to attend and to join in the lively book discussions. Copies of the book are on loan from the library and members read it prior to the meeting. Call the Library at (270) 247-2911 to sign up. They'll have a copy of the book waiting for you. The Book Ends Reading Club meet the 1st Monday of the month (except for holidays).

Tuesday, November 3
Story Time: The Lion and the Rat (Aesop's Fable) ; McCracken County Public Library (555 Washington St., Paducah); 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.; free.
Join Ms. Retta, Bob Dog, and Ms. Cherri as they share with young and old alike in their special program of stories, puppets, and songs. Each program is designed for preschoolers and their caregivers. Tuesdays.
